You've probably figured this out, but for anyone who hasn't, they're Nivomat shocks (by Sachs, I think?). They are passive self-leveling so they sense load and adjust rebound and dampening (I think with hydraulic or other fluid trickery).
I'm replacing one of my self-leveling this week and wondered if I really need to by the below 'install kit' or if I can make due with my own tools and ingenuity?
