AWD EX driven about 75% highway miles. In ECO I’m averaging just a bit over 25 mpg. Comfort mode brings it down 2 or 3 mpg. Those figures are based on actual fill ups. The computer tells me a bit higher.

I average 20 mpg in my EX AWD in eco mode. I drive mostly in the city, but also like throwing the shifter into manual and giving the Telluride some throttle every now and then.

Somewhere between sucks and moderately sucks. I kid......I joke. Only had it a few weeks so I'm still in full on play mode and switch around modes so I haven't used a full tank in one mode yet. Feels like I'm getting a little less than my Sorento used to. Will be putting it to the test on the next tankful. .

Been driving my SX AWD now for about 1.5 months and have 14,000 miles already. I'm averaging 26 to 27 mpg with mostly interstate driving @ 75 mph. I have seen as high as 29 at times when I keep it below 60 on back roads. Inter city I'm doing about 23 to 24 mpg. All in smart mode.

I keep track of my mileage in Fuelly. I do not go by the on board computer as I find it is off. I do the actual math. Currently averaging 27.8 over 2600 miles. Majority of the miles are highway miles

Your highway commute must be mostly flat. Here in VT, we're lucky to get 24. Looking forward to next week when I travel to Boston to pick up my in-laws to see what mpg I can squeeze out.

First time getting above 20 mpg since the first week of owning.

Eco mode driving 65 for most of the 42 miles with little to no braking or acceleration.

Hey all I wanted to start a thread and ask that people post their real world MPG numbers. It would be helpful if you included info like FWD/AWD and what your typical driving pattern looks like (highway/city/mixed) any other details would be great to! This will be useful for those stuck on the fence on whether to go AWD over FWD when going to purchase!
i have a sx i drive in comfort mod all the time, last trip of 600 klms averaged between 30 and 34 on canadian gallons at about 118 ks per hr

Guyon, I noticed I was getting about 2mpg less in comfort mode. Eco mode will give you better mpg. I really can't notice any difference between comfort and eco mode, so I see no reason to be in comfort mode for less mpg.

After experimenting with each mode, I generally just leave it in Smart mode now. While in Smart, it seems to run in Eco about 80% of the time and switch to Comfort when I’m going up a hill or coming from a stopped position, etc. The last two tanks of gas in Smart mode were 26.3 and 26.5 mpg average based on actual fill ups. The computer was telling me about 27.7 or something close to that figure.

1st Fill up: Eco Mode/More Highway than City/24.4mpg

2nd Fill up: Eco Mode/Slightly more City than Highway/20.8 mpg.

This is living in New England where almost nothing is flat, so I'm constantly going up or down a hill. Auto Stop/Start is on. Highway speeds are generally between 68mph and 72mph when I'm not in stop and go traffic.

I just switched to Comfort Mode to see how that effects mpg, but common sense tells me I won't keep it there for long.
