Dealer add-ons

Hi I am new to the forum. I picked up a new 2025 Telluride SX yesterday. I drove a 2009 GMC Envoy for 16 years and over 260,000 miles. Big change. Does anyone recommend any dealer add-ons? Do you know if there is a break in period on the engine? Has anyone had their Telluride detailed and ceramic coated put on right after purchase? Thank you for any responses.

Congrats! I have had my new Telluride for over a month now and love it. I tried to avoid all dealer add-ons but it came with carpet mats.
For accessories, I purchased TuxMat floor mats for all three rows. I purchased the Canadian KIA trunk liner to cover the trunk and back of the 3rd row seat as well as a 3rd party back seat over for the 2nd row. Planning to put on Weathertech mud flaps.
I do want to put on a Thule Motion XL Low cargo box with the Thule Edge Tower Cross bars to carry my skis.
I don't think there's an official break in period on the engine, but I have scheduled to have my oil changed this week and I have almost 1500 miles on it. I plan to follow the every 5000 mile oil change to ensure longevity since I tend to keep vehicles longer than most...

Congratulations on the new Telluride. I've had mine for about 8 months. I did my first oil change at 1,500 miles, my second one at 5,000 and plan to do it every 5,000. I had the dealer turn on the functionality that allows me to track my service at my own intervals instead of the pre-set 8,000 miles settings.
I do my own detailing and use the Griot's Garage products. I stripped it when new using their Foaming Surface Prep which removes any waxes from dealer car washes, buffed out all of the paint using their Complete Polish and then used their ceramic wax which is still holding up strong. I wash it at home using a pressure washer and dry it with a leaf blower. No scratches yet!
For accessories, it came with the cargo cover. I bought from Kia the carpeted floor mats, the carpeted cargo mat that covers the third row seatbacks, and the bumper protector - which looks great. I also bought a couple of cargo nets and a leather covered storage box for in-between the 2nd row captains chairs. I also bought a Carlinkit for wireless Apple CarPlay. No regrets on any of these. I hate the "autostart" and bought the device that permanently turns it off.
