What is this clip?

What is this clip? I was removing the 2nd row floormat from my 2023 SX-P X-Line and it got a little stuck under the driver's seat, when I finally got it out this clip popped out too.

I can't figure out where it is supposed to go, other than the back, bottom of the driver's seat somewhere. Can anyone help?

As a follow-up someone informed me that this goes on the seat track. It covers up the pointy edges if the seat is far back and the rails on the seat are past the track in the floor.
