Hello group,
After reading every article and review on the Kia Telluride for the past year I finally decided to move forward and ordered one in late May. I spoke with numerous dealers in the Houston area and each told me they were not taking orders due to the Kia plant recently reopening due to COVID so I came across a dealer in Austin that was eager to place an order; 6-8 months before delivery.
The only uncertainty I have is whether I will end up with a 2020 or 2021 Telluride. The sales agreement, along with down payment, contracts the dealer to sell me a 2020 but if the factory begins producing 2021 I have confirmation from discussion and dealer paperwork I could end up with a 2021 at the same price.
Looking forward to my Gravity Grey SX with Prestige package although it's still unfathomable how much over MSRP these are selling for.

I am from San Antonio and placed an order for a Gravity Grey SX with the Prestige and Towing Package back in January. I couldn't find anyone in San Antonio, Austin or Houston to offer me an order for MSRP - they all wanted to add required dealer packages or a market adjustment. Finally found a dealership in the DFW area that would sell one to me for MSRP. Don't pay more than MSRP.

Thank you for the info. Do you mind sharing what dealer in DFW it was. Kia of Austin wanted $7,500 over MSRP and Kia of South Austin was more reasonable but still wouldn't come down from their set MSRP markup (including a few low cost options thrown in). I went ahead and ordered the vehicle so I can hopefully get one by the end of this year, otherwise I didn't see any other option.

Classic KIA of Carrollton. Ask for @StephenCantrelle
