New emblems - layovers vs replacements

I ordered the K5 emblems but to install the originals must be removed (seen at https://www.k5optimastore.com/products/telluride-emblem-sets ). I'm a little concerned to do this and trying to decide if I should return and order the Vintage K emblems that are layovers. (seen at https://www.ebay.com/i/233445050192...U64pXVqt-f1Hf27rtiSWfKEPOxmjz0vxoCJ54QAvD_BwE

Looking for thoughts and suggestions

The overlays are going to be much easier to install and return back to stock if you plan on selling it in a few years.

Have you added the overlays? If so, which overlays did you use? I found a local shop that does vinyl work, and has experience with re-badging (cost is about $25 for them to install), I still have concerns about the steering wheel.
