Barnett Kia in White Bear Lake, MN. If you order from current inventory (of which there wasn't any when we were there - as many of you probably know) they do add a $1300 "Minnesota Protection Package" of undercoating, paint protection and Weather Tech liners. However, if you factory order - which we did, they will sell without the package. So we bought at MSRP. Ordered an EX with a tow package. Pleasant, hassle free purchase.
One note: currently Kia is offering low interest rate financing. Since we factory ordered we get whatever financing programs and/or other incentives are in effect at the time of delivery. Interest rate is the only downside risk and if we're lucky there will be some other type of incentive that may benefit us.
They also offer one of those free "Million Mile Warranty" deals. Good marketing and potentially beneficial particularly if you keep a car a long time like we do, but requires strict adherence to the service schedule and non-transferrable. FAQ and details of their particular coverage on their web page.
At this stage of the process, we're very pleased with Barnett.

I have never paid more than the invoice price on any new vehicle. Currently the difference between invoice and MSRP is ~4.5%. Before the age of the internet when invoice figures were not so readily available, that number was more like 10-15% depending on the brand and model. I find it hard to believe that Kia dealerships are losing money even if they offer the Telluride at invoice pricing. The new Ford Bronco is taking orders and many dealerships are doing the same thing by selling at or above MSRP, simply because they can. However, there is a dealership that is willing to sell in bulk by offering 3% BELOW invoice. Why can't we find Kia dealerships that truly want our business and prefer to sell in bulk? I live in Round Rock and the Austin prices are ~$9k over MSRP. An hour north in Waco, the advertised price is MSRP -$150. I refuse to deal with opportunistic dealerships and it floors me that the average consumer thinks that these kind of sales practices are reasonable. It would be nice to see members post which dealerships work off of invoice (which is an inflated number to begin with), rather than the outright lie of MSRP.

Totally agree! Dealer here in Raleigh NC quoted me MSRP. Next day said "woops"... we need to add $1,299.... I fumed to myself for a few days..... they then increased the price by $3,000 .... same VIN.... they would not honor the written quotes that they sent me!

New to the "SellURide" movement. I'll save the venting about being in absolute shock/disgust over having to negotiate down to the MSRP! I have done a ton of research on dealers in my Southern California area. So far I haven't found anyone from San Diego to Los Angeles who is not charging "premium" pricing. I saw the mention of the Carlsbad Kia and I was disappointed as well as their website shows "dealer" price matching MSRP and apparently when you show up they pull from the rug from under you. Potential there IS a dealer who is local to me that isn't asking over MSRP, however, I have yet to confirm this myself and this is word of mouth only...and not to mention I don't know the timeframe of the sale...I see some dealers DID try and fight the urge to price gouge but I think some changed their minds and gave in at one point. How many people have actually gone into the dealer and been at the desk doing a deal and they refused to come down to MSRP? Anyhow, happy to be part of the forum. Hope I can contribute some good news at some point.

Hi All. I’m in So Cal too. So after two months of searching and mentally adjusting to feeling it’s a ”deal” to pay MSRP..sigh...the cheapest I was able to find was Courtesy Kia in Mesa AZ. $1,500.00 markup with $1,367.00 in mandatory dealer add ons in the form of $699.00 “Connect & Protect”(basically LoJack), $169.00 Lifetime tire Nitrogen(this one hurt as this is well known to be Snake oil)and $499.00 Window Tint. So $2,867.00 in markup total. They had the S trim with Gray interior my Wife wanted so I ended up jumping on it. While I am not thrilled to have paid a markup...I was able to justify living with it. Spent $100.00 to fly into Mesa and the dealer salesman picked me up. Downside to AZ was there is no Doc Fee cap. In CA it’s $85.00 max....AZ...I paid $499.00. Also, depends on your zip code...but the sales tax was a bit higher than what I would have paid out here. The only other dealer that I came close to doing a deal with was Huntington Beach but they went back on a few quotes(originally said would only do a $1,500.00 markup and then backtracked)so I was done with them..I left off with them at “best I can do is $3k markup” but that wasn’t specified whether that was with dealer ad ons or not.

I found one in Kia of Irvine, 1.5K markup for the LX we wanted, none of that BS add-ons.

Based on the referrals on this site, I put in an order with Lucas @ Muncie Kia. Huge thank you to everyone that has contributed, this information has been really helpful in my search to avoid all of the ridiculous price gouging. I wrote Lucas an email and asked if they honored Costco pricing, and told him what I was looking for, and he replied very quickly (and clearly) with the below. He is a great communicator which is a plus when you aren't going to meet face to face in this process.

My order: SX Prestige Package
· Wolf Gray (with Nightfall Edition Package)
· Interior Light Kit, Multicolored
· Towing Package

Lucas quoted me:
MSRP: $50,595
Costco Price: $49,395
This price does not include any rebates, sales tax, title fee ($31.25) or dealer administrative fee ($199). The expected wait time for this order would be approximately 6-8 months. We require a $500 deposit to place the order.

I placed the order same day with a short phone call where he gave me a few heads up about the process. I also mentioned that I was hoping the 2022 Telluride has a fully digital dash (my VW tiguan has it!) and he said if my order has not been filled when they announce the 2022's we can transition it to a 2022.

I live in Chicago, about 5 hours away, and will happily drive to Muncie to pick up my new Telly to now have to deal with the BS; and will be extra grateful for when it is time to trade her in in a few years that I didn't pay the $4500-9000 over MSRP.

Again, thanks for putting together this list!

@TellyWannaB curious how long did it end up taking to get your Telluride? Also wondering if you liked all your choices… I’m considering the exact same setup although on the fence about the lights and likely adding crossbars so I can add a Thule.
