Any new car can dip 20% the day it goes off the lot, more if its marked up of course.

I hope that it keeps its value like a truck would. Ive never owned kia prior to this and I hope to expect high resale much like a Toyota 4runner/Tacoma. Fingers crossed.

I would think it would depend on how good the vehicle turns out to be. If 5 years down the road reliability is still good and no major issues have surfaced I would expect it would still be worth a good amount. If they have a series of problems in the coming years I would expect you'd be giving it away. Fact that you can get a fully loaded 7/8 passenger SUV for under 50K has to help the resale plus the 10 year power train warranty has to be a plus too. JMHO of course...
