Kia Telluride 3.8 vs Hyundai Genesis 3.8

Hello all! I am a new owner of a Kia Telluride SX Wolf grey. I have always been a fan of after market parts for my vehicles. Just curious if the same 3.8 in the Telluride is the same one the Genesis used but just a “detuned” version? Im sure someone has asked this but that would be huge to the engine after market crowd.

What kind of mods do you have in mind?

Did anybody come up with insights from the older version of this engine regarding common problems/reliability? I checked Consumer Reports and TrueDelta.com and couldn't find any survey history on cars with the older 3.8.
