New vehicle prices have trended upward to the point that many buyers feel intimidated even starting their search for a new car, truck or SUV. Some brands probably feel out of reach for a lot of people’s budgets, but there are some bargains to be had – even in the premium segments.
Of course, the word “bargain” may not feel right when we’re talking about a $50,000 purchase, but in a world where even pickup trucks routinely stretch well over $70,000, many “entry-level” premium SUVs can feel downright affordable.
Here’s our list of the best luxury SUVs under $50,000:
Kia Telluride
The brand-new Telluride is a big deal for Kia – literally. It’s not only the biggest vehicle the brand makes, it’s one of the nicest and most complete vehicles the Korean brand has ever made. The Telluride has a price tag that tops out in the high-$40,000 range for the SX trim, which includes navigation, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a Harmon/Kardon 10-speaker surround sound system, advanced safety tech, leather upholstery, heated/ventilated front seats, and dual sunroofs. All in, the Kia makes our list well below the $50,000 limit and offers a lot to like at that price.
Acura RDX
Lincoln Nautilus
Porsche Macan
Land Rover Discovery Sport
