With a tire more than 2" wider than the rim, there's going to be some rounding (doming technically) of the tread surface, and they are going to wear more in the middle. Having that same issue with one of my other vehicles right now that I went "bigger is always better" on. I wouldn't go any bigger than 265 personally, but just my 2 cents.
