99% of the time the car that is taken has the least amount of technology. The telluride will not be on the next hot list. That is just insane hyperbole. Kia is currently being targeted because the lower cost of production means they use simple keys and locks on the lower end cars.
They will steal the lower end cars because they are easy to break into and start.
Don't get me wrong, any car that is not physically bolted to the ground can be stolen. The ones that steal using high tech means are going for 100k vehicles. The telluride does not use a physical key, so the criminals will just move to the next car that does.
