Changing wiper blades

Has anyone successfully gotten the wiper arms to go into service mode? I tried to follow the instructions, but they're not well-written and I've had no luck. Help?

Yup I got it to work. So here's what you do. Once you turn the engine off, push up on the wiper stock and hold it there for 2 seconds. The wiper will then stay in that position. The main thing is to make sure your engine is off and you do it within 20 seconds.
