I showed them the email trail and they went away and said OK, we messed up how about $42,000 and oh, BTW, we'll give you $3000 in trade for your car that every other dealer offers 6500-7000 for.

Crap experience, so walked away

You need to file a complaint with your state Consumer Protection Agency. They may force them to honor the deal. If nothing else, that will put them on notice not to continue to pull that crap.
