I know these are somewhat of a demand right now, but charging more than MSRP is price gouging. Anyone else really turned off by Kia for allowing dealers to do this?
Any dealer will do that regardless of make if they have a desirable vehicle. Ford dealers do it with the Bullitt Mustangs and the GT500's. Dodge did it with their hellcats for a while and their Demons. It's not a Kia thing, but who would have ever thought that Kia would ever have vehicles that they could do that. Used to be they would have a BOGO offer...lol

Harley did it for years too, charged a big premium over MSRP and made a lot of money. Kept production artificially low and drove the prices up. Not so much anymore, you can negotiate price on any bike they make these days. We all know dealers are there to make money, they're gonna charge whatever the market will bear. I guess the choices are wait until production catches up to demand or go somewhere else...
Yea, the problem is that dealers wouldn't do that if it didn't work. There are those out there that pay asking price...it's boggling. I sold cars for Chrysler dealer when the PT Cruiser was coming out. I made a great deal on preorders of those. People were paying over MSRP without even seeing one first much less driving one.
The dealer near me is asking MSRP - Kia incentives... I am getting eager to pull the trigger on that deal considering with KIA incentives the price does fall below MSRP.
Looks like all incentives are gone from Kia website.... Guess will have to wait and see if with the launch of Hyundai Palisade and Ford Explorer if Kia launches anything again. Anyone following Kia from earlier know how long before they provide any more incentives ?
It's there, do a build, then click on the payment calculator and you will see they are back there. They usually update the calculator on the build page faster than anywhere else. It shows they are now good through April 30th

Both the Stinger and the Telluride have attracted a lot first time buyers like myself. I can tell you after having owned Audis for the last 10 years, the dealer experience was a major turn off for me and I almost left without buying. Kia really needs to focus on training their dealers to operate more like a luxury brand if they want to compete in this segment.
