Forward Collision Avoidance Assist - System disabled - Radar Blocked

Its a common problem and a royal pain in the a$$. Winter driving, which occupies nearly half the year in Canada, results in cruise control being disabled as soon as some slush or snow accumulates on the front bumper. Because God forbid the driver be trusted not to arse end someone on the...

Latest safety recall notification regarding potential for vehicle movement when parked

Perfect, that's what I needed to know, and thank you for the details on how to override it. That's really important for those of us living in winter climates, since when you're driving on the highway you can get a lot of slush collecting under the vehicle which will freeze rock solid overnight...

Latest safety recall notification regarding potential for vehicle movement when parked

All well and good.... but... are you able to disable it in the winter. Or is the vehicle now going to automatically apply the parking brake each and every time you stop the vehicle... including when it's winter and you shouldn't be doing that. What did the dealer tell you about how it operates...

Sorry, sent that to you by mistake... i intended it to go to the person who posted they'd just had the work done.

Latest safety recall notification regarding potential for vehicle movement when parked

Agreed. Those are the proper practices and what would be considered educated driver behavior. More importantly, I don't understand why KIA has their game plan centered around a practice that's considered (by transportation experts) to be inappropriate in wet winter conditions. Summer time...

    Left Passenger Window Shattered

One of the things that can be problematic with windows... but more typically sunroof windows... is additional stress applied to the glass. It usually comes as a result of the windows movement channels accumulating dirt or debris, which in turn creates more stress on the glass when the window is...

Latest safety recall notification regarding potential for vehicle movement when parked

I got a recall notification in the mail yesterday, associated with my 2020 Telluride SLX... but the way it's written, I'm of the belief that it affects quite a few other models and years as well. In essence, they state that there's the possibility that the vehicle can move when put in park...

Kia Telluride ISG Information (Idle Stop and Go)

Personally, I don't like the system in that by default it's always enabled when I first start the vehicle. I would prefer it to be something that you can set to your own desired setting and have the system remember it. Fortunately, I found an after market electronic device that does just that...

    Center console organizer update

Unless they changed the design from what came in my 2020, it covers more like about 30% of the opening. Certainly not half. Which is why folks are searching for alternatives.

    Center console organizer update

Given where it's likely manufactured, perhaps give AliExpress a shot and see if you can find it there. I found this: Organizer Tray The challenge is that AliExpress doesn't show any matches for the Telluride. But, when I searched the organizer tray that @Semator20 noted, it shows on Amazon.ca...

Dealer Mode/Engineering Mode Achieved, Still No Access To Config Settings

Interesting video clips. I wish they included the actual steps in the description below the video. Engineering mode wasn't too bad, but the first one is done from so far away I have no idea what the heck was being done to activate it.

Any way to completely disable ISG?

Go to the website mentioned earlier in this thread for the AutoStop Eliminator product. Watch the installation video for their product and it will show you how to simply and easily access the electrical connector you need to deal with. It's underneath the actual start/stop button in the central...

Oct. 2022 Navigation and Infotainment Firmware Update experience

I thought it was about time for another nav data update, so I checked yesterday and found out one had been issued in October of 2022. The typical combined infotainment firmware updates and mods, along with new navigation content. So, depending upon your comfort level with such things, you can...

    Infotaiment system update

Have you tried using the desktop application yet? The reason I ask (and I'm unsure if this is the case for our system or not), is that with many manufacturers, their desktop application that's used to download the content updates provides access to the geographic specific content based on IP (or...

    Badges

I'll reply based on the premise that you're not trying to be funny. :) They're aftermarket badging, where folks have removed the official North American KIA badges and then replaced them with the "flying K" version that Kia uses on it's vehicles in Korea. You can find forum instructions on how...

    Kia Telluride Fuse Box Description

Anyone have the spec for the actual fuse sizes (not amperage, the size....). I'm assuming most will be blade fuses, but are they regular, mini, low profile mini, micro, etc.? And for the cartridge fuses, are they full height or low profile? I can't seem to find this information anywhere in...

    New UVO Fees

Thank you for the reply. Interesting video, and it should be of interest to those who haven't spent the time to go through their owner manual and spend a few hours working through the vehcile set up and configuration options. But that's not me. I personally already have those features enabled...

    New UVO Fees

This has to be one of those very rare moments when Canadian owners get a better deal than their Stateside counterparts. Here we get a free five year UVO package. And my experience over the past year tells me that's about what it's worth. It is painfully slow. They push out updates that require...

    Door Dent Protection?

Those are certainly wider, but ultimately I opted for the narrower premanently mounted ones, and just installed them a little higher on the door. The concern I had with the wide magnetic strips is paint abrasion. Too bad the vehicle didn't just come with a heavy wide protective strip like my old...
