The Telluride GDI uses the Atkinson Cycle....the intake valve remains open for the first 1/3rd of the compression stroke pushing gas back over the intake valve and into the intake. Using top tier gas should be all that's required to prevent buildup.

Sounds like you spaced and left it in reverse when you got out, we've all been there. If you are saying the car on its own, shifted out of park into reverse, that's a real stretch.....

Isn't AWD required to vary the power split front to back,i.e. sport mode? Even if you would never need the lock mode, sport mode or even smart mode function makes AWD worth it IMO.
