    Refinancing Question

I would try to clean up everything with the dealer first so they don't try to pull as you said any "shenanigans" before refinancing. Dealers usually get a finance kick back but can take a few months to get back to them. In So Cal, gap insurance is available via automobile insurance policies...

    New Purchase Disaster

Should they also cover the sales tax and registration fees you paid on the vehicle as well in the event you decide not to take a replacment vehicle from Kia? In California, you pay sales tax on the vehicle purchase price … trade in value does not reduce the taxable amount :-( ... good luck with...

    Liftgate Failure

Today I looked in the hatch and did see the release slot at the very bottom ... good to know that this is here in case of emergency.

First fatal accident involving a Kia Telluride?

I do hope that this is driver error and not a systems error … there's always the possibility that the driver was too reliant on the driver ASSIST functions. It is sad news for all those involved. Would be good to get updates on this issue as they become available.

iOS 13’s best upgrade is in your car

You could join the beta program, but you'll risk all sorts of bugs … I typically wait until the .1 version (i.e. iOS 13.1) to be released before installing on my phone, but I may jump in right away on the official iOS13 release for these improvements.

iOS 13’s best upgrade is in your car

I'm definitely looking forward to this update for CarPlay .. will be even more impressive with the extra real estate on the 10.25" screen https://www.theverge.com/2019/6/24/18693555/apple-ios-13-carplay-interface-update-hands-on-test-review

    Liftgate Failure

I had no idea that there was an interior key slot in the hatch for release. I haven’t any issues with the hatch.

Anyone with a trickle charger & Battery Discharge Warning

I use a Battery Tender and the first time I connected it, the battery took almost 1.5 days to get to full charge. Now when I connect the Battery Tender up after a few days of non-use of the vehicle, it will take just a few hours to get to full charge. Now the BT only uses blinky LED lights and...

    Palisade Youtube Review

The only thing I really liked about the Palisade and wish the Telluride has was the digital IC display. The K900's digital IC looks even better!! Sure the power 3rd row seems nice at first blush, but the speed at which they lower is SOOOO SLOW --- fast down and power up would have been better...

Hello. Thinking about the SX prestige in moss / black. Any thoughts, suggestions ? Live in Wisconsin.

Yea, in So cal, inventory across all models is scares even when I expand the radius out to 100 miles. I hope everyone can eventually get the model they want!! Good luck!!!

Hello. Thinking about the SX prestige in moss / black. Any thoughts, suggestions ? Live in Wisconsin.

I have Moss Green SX-P with Gray ... the car looks very sharp. SX-P's are now like unicorns though … they will be difficult to find!!

Do you prefer the third row up or down?

In my past vehicle I kept it down all the time as there was no room behind the seat. On the Telluride, I tend to keep it up (even when its just me driving - except for Costco runs!). I do; however, keep the headrests flipped down for maximum rearward visibility. With the gray (putty)...

Korean carmakers Genesis, Kia, Hyundai take top marks in JD Power’s annual quality survey

Agreed … good thing with ratings like this that it tends to push the other brands to up their game and improve their own quality. Everyone wants to be #1 ... poor JLR though, they can't seem to catch a break (they are always at/near the bottom), although I really never had any issues with my LR4.

    Alarm keeps going off

I really think that KIA should have a special tag instructing users how to disable … this "feature" appears to confuse people. I never will have babies/small children in my vehicle so I definitely disabled it right away. I can appreciate the need for the feature and applaud Kia for including...

    Alarm keeps going off

That is probably it (Rear Occupant Alert - ROA system)… it is disabled using the menu on the screen behind the steering wheel: From page 4-22 of the user manual:
