Spy Photos of the 2021 Kia Sorento

You're right....it looks like a baby KT to me. The rear hatch has the same surrounds as the KT, the windshield/roof line is the same as the KT. The front and rear "skid plates" have the same placement and the overall side profile looks similar to the KT but only time will tell.

    Is KT a Luxury SUV?

Have you noticed how much the interior of their K900 looks like the KT? I don't know if it's intentional, but the dash looks like the interior was designed by the same team. For those who are unaware of the K900, it is KIA's luxury sedan that starts at $59,900. No other interior looks like...

    Question about DBS in Telluride

It is recommended that engine be off when loading unto a tow truck because the angle sensor will activate the air bags sensing it to be a potential roll over situation. I would imagine it uses the same angle sensor to determine if you are going up hill (to stop roll back) and down hill (to...

It lists Down Hill Brake Control (DBC) here. https://www.kiamedia.com/us/en/media/pressreleases/15019/all-new-2020-kia-telluride-offers-rugged-luxury2

How did everyone learned about the the Telluride?

Found it on YouTube while searching for a replacement for my 4Runner. Stopped by a dealer on my way to PA, test drove a black EX and was hooked. Bought the same color trim within two weeks.

    Warning distance

I don’t think you can change this by design. If you are talking about the SCC braking, then that’s adjustable.

2020 Kia Telluride has ‘a lot of high-strength steel

While waiting for crash test results, https://www.repairerdrivennews.com/2019/06/10/2020-kia-telluride-has-lots-of-high-strength-steel-offers-much-adas-standard/ “Extensive high-strength steel a “Kia trademark” of sorts which allowed the OEM to secure many IIHS Top Safety Pick and Top Safety...

Is there really a problem with the windshields on the Telluride?

That’s a very good point, but that means that out of 563 members, only 60 members were actual KT owners to equal the 5% window replacement rate. I would think actual owners were significantly higher than 60 members at that time. The calculated national estimate was 10 times higher in magnitude...

Will you continue to subscribe to the UVO app service after the trial period?

If I'm not mistaken, I think "OnStar system" and vehicle tracking....oops, I mean trip logging will remain free. The additional cost be for remote lock/unlock start, temperature, and trip upload (depending on the package).

Anyone with a trickle charger & Battery Discharge Warning

Yeah Crazy, I guess that's what happens with an always connected car. Definitely something to keep in mind if you park your Telluride for an extended period. AGM batteries always need to be charged to over 50% capacity for longevity.

DON'T you ever accidentally turn off the engine with "Drive" engaged

I didn't check, but I think you have to have at least your radio on..

DON'T you ever accidentally turn off the engine with "Drive" engaged

I tried this this morning, turned the engine off in Drive, then shifted to park and low and behold, similar problem! I didn't go to the extent of locking myself out but I can reproduce something similar. Normally, if I have the radio on and turn off the engine the infotainment system will stay...

How to access engineering mode on uvo screen??

I've already looked for mood lighting and couldn't find anything either. Maybe it's under another hidden menu or Trim specific.

Anyone with a trickle charger & Battery Discharge Warning

This sound like what mine does. I guess the infotainment system/accessories has the potential to quickly drain the battery (relatively speaking).

Anyone with a trickle charger & Battery Discharge Warning

Yeah, that's true...I get that after driving too....I guess it's just a nag screen!

Anyone with a trickle charger & Battery Discharge Warning

Even after letting the car sit for only 2 days the trickle charger indicates between 25%-50% charge state. If it sits for a week the charger indicates 25% charge. I know the Telluride has telematics, wireless key fob receiver and other things that may remains on/sleep, but the drain seems...

It kinda looks just like any other CUV. Then there is the Telluride! Well, it kinda looks like this :)

    pedal commander

Good feedback...thanks. I was on the fence about getting it. I agree with you, it is a little pricey. I think $150 would have been more reasonable. Also I’m not sure how it interacts with the built-in drive modes. One thing that makes this a little more interesting than other tunning...
