In Vehicle Amazon Alexa Integration

I’m a big Alexa user for all things home automation. While I wait for for the Echo Auto to be released, I’ve set up my Roav Viva. I used it in my last car, but works better in the Telluride as long as I’m using CarPlay and the AV system is powered on. No matter what input is playing (CarPlay, FM, AM, SXM), saying Alexa will interrupt the active audio and respond. You can do most things you can do with an Echo Dot as well as start music playing (Amazon Music, Pandora, etc). It JUST fits and still allows the front console door to close.

Yes, the app is free and does not require a subscription; however, you do need to purchase the Viva to get it to work.

It requires cigarette lighter for power connection and needs to be able to hear your voice as well.

Agreed ... you can do mostly everything you can do with a Dot. I do find that if you have the stereo blasting, it won’t hear the wake word. But maybe I’m not yelling loud enuf! 🗣
