Who disables Auto Start-Stop when they drive?

Tell me if you have this same problem with the stop / start feature. When I stop the vehicle with intentions to park (like when I enter my garage), the engine quits when I brake. Then when I shift to Park (with brake still engaged), the engine restarts. This stop / start sequence happens in a split second and it is annoying. Then I shut it off with the start stop button. Why does the engine start when you shift from Drive to Park. It should just stay off. Of course, the local Kia dealer has no answer to this. He apparently thinks it's great that the car stops when I want it on and starts when I want it off.

It would be nice if Kia gave us the ability to see a changeable "note" on the cluster when the Telluride is first started up ----like--- Turn OFF Auto On/Off.

I didn't until it wouldn't restart in rush hr traffic when my dear wife n grandkids had to get out in speeding current downtown connector The relay box imbedded in cable is freqnt fail point..3 blocking friends have same 2020 ex with no probs..small sample but why not?

This is the solution. Absolutely the best thing that I have done to my Telluride after painting the emblems black to match the rest of the car. It keeps the autostop turned off until I decide to turn it back on, which is never.
