Hi there - original owner of 2020 EX Telluride, 50K miles, still under warranty. Recently discovered the cooling fan randomly starts about 2 minutes after car is turned off. Revs at high speed and runs for hours. Ran all night in the garage and drained the battery. Has happened 3 times. Took it to dealer, they can't replicate it, so won't fix it. Has anyone experienced this? How can we get the dealership to fix it without replicating the problem?

Problem with the cooling fan randomly starting after turning off the car, quite annoying I had in a similar situation. In such cases, it is helpful to document each incident, including the time and date the fan starts, to provide the dealer with more accurate information. You can also request that the dealer perform service using diagnostic tools to identify any hidden problems.

2021 telluride and this happened to me as well. Fan wouldn’t stop and had to unplug battery. It killed my fan and the car started overheating. Warrantee repair replaced fan and thermostat. Within two weeks of repair, went to garage and fan was running full blast 8 hours after I parked the car. Dealer is taking it in again next week for the third time. Frustrating and will prob sell it back and buy a non kia vehicle. Seems they can’t find the cause.

I have had this issue also and like the the previous owners mentioned the dealership is unable to replicate the issue and therefore they can not fix it. Has anyone had any luck with getting this issue fixed?
