Performance Chips

So, I see a lot of old posts about performance chips...now that the Telluride has been out for a while and there are probably more companies making them, has anyone tried any of them and had a decent results?
I did put in a Pedal Commander and it does make the pedal more responsive...especially when the Telluride is on Sport and the PC is on Sport+ but even in Smart mode, it seems to respond quicker.

Thanks

Does anyone make a tuner for the Telluride yet? I know Hypertech doesn't do Kia
I saw these two but have no experience with them personally. My Telluride comes in early next month.

Perhaps someone else on the forum has tried it, or knows more about these tuners and how they work. I’m interested as well.

The first two were under $70. For some reason, this additional listing I found is significantly higher in price ($300+). Not sure how they differ.

Being familiar with "tuning", there are some considerations.
1) The computer MAY be "locked". If so, actual tuning may be a problem.
2) Hyundai/Kia are known to be a bit difficult to deal with if mods are done. If you CAN/DO have the engine computer "tuned" (program reflash) the warranty may go POOF !!!
3) If the engine computer is "bricked" (damaged by the tuner), in today's environment you may have to wait for a LOOOONG time for a replacement.

I purchased a Pedal Commander for the Telly. It isn't a tune and it makes no claims to increase HP or Torque. It's simple purpose is to improve pedal response. With the electronic speed control instead of back in the day cable it works. I have been through every mode and I notice the difference for real.

Don't waste your money on low price gadgets. You are better off waiting for a proven product. I did my research and used the "Pedal Commander for the last two weeks and it does exactly what it says it does. Also not every device advertised as a tuner is a tuner. I have been modding cars for years so buyer beware.

IMHO, this 3.8 is not the engine for performance mods. Mods are easy on turbo engines, where you can play with the boost across the rev range. This engine is not boosted. Moreover, this engine is Atkins cycle, so it's designed to have better economy at the expense of power, particularly low-end torque. If you bought your Telluride with an eye to modding it's performance, I think you might have bought the wrong platform. :(

These products are claiming "up to" "+48%" or "+25%" power. So, the Telluride gets 296 hp from the factory. These chips are claiming to get 444 hp or 370 hp. In a pig's ear they will. That is, of course they will make "up to" that power, but not even close. No way these gimmicks give you more than 20 hp, which you won't ever notice and will void your powertrain warranty. These are not the way.
