Order system not open yet?

Why do some dealers in Michigan tell me that the ordering system for Tellurides isn't open yet, and others tell me they can order anything I want. I don't understand well enough, I guess.

I'm encountering the same thing, and I live just 3 hours southwest of the KIA Plant up in West Point, Ga, Anyways from what I have been told, the plant is not up and running at full capacity, and the only vehicles they seem to be building is the Nightfall edition and a very limited selection of the other models, they like everyone else are having trouble getting people to come back to work, plus they are not getting the parts and raw materials coming in (Via Truck & Rail) to supply their assembly line and engine plant, some dealers have told me they will take my order, But, they cannot give me a firm delivery date, because of the shortages.
I guess the best thing to do is get on the KIA Web site, Build the Telluride you want, and at the end use the feature that lets you search surrounding dealers stock to see if they have any, I have been extending the search area by adding zip codes from area's that are 300 miles away from me, but even if it does show a dealers has what you want, you run the chance of a Wild Goose Chase when you drive to said Dealer, only to be told that, Sorry Bud we just sold it.
Another thing that worries me is the fact that some of the workers maybe new hires or disgruntled workers who were forced back to work, which makes one wonder what kind of vehicles they are turning out.

As of today I can order any model and enter as many orders in dealer request I want. Problem I have is Kia will only give me a limited few each month and I have so many customer sold orders still to fill I never have non sold units for dealer stock.

Is the West Point plant the only supplier of the Telluride for U.S and Canadian buyers, I mean are they still building them in South Korea and shipping them here for the North American Dealers?.

West point is the only supplier for every country, it's the only plant the Telluride is built in. The Palisade is built in Korea

That's interesting, I thought for sure they would be building them at another location since they are so popular, I guess we will just take a wait and see approach, and hopefully things will get back to normal when they find a vaccine and they get back to full production up in West Point, I flat out refuse to pay some of the prices the majority of these KIA Dealers are charging customers, I don't mind paying a little over the M.S.R.P, but from what I'm hearing and reading, some Dealers are asking $5000. to $10.000 over the MSRP, and people are accurately paying it.

Just some info for you guys. KFOS (Kia forward ordering system) only opens the third weekend of each month. Weekly allocation has been open every Friday to Monday at midnight. When dealing with KFOS or Weekly allocation Kia will email me what I can order based on what I sold. Now that Kia is removing the weekly system allocation option dealers will only be able to summit Telluride sold orders into KFOS once a month. If Kia fills a sold KFOS order then the unit will show up in 45-60 days.

If any of you visit a dealer looking to order a Telluride. Before placing your order ask the dealer what units they have coming in that hasn't been per sold. You might get lucking and land one in different color or one with tow hitch even though you wanted one. Could be quicker way to get one. Also any dealer taking you order and deposit that says your 100% fresh order will show up 60 days or sooner is talking BS or they might have a non sold unit coming in. Reason to ask whats inbound.

All Kia Plants are running at full speed and we increased the KFOS allocation quantity to meet our strong sales demand. I don’t think I have to remind you of the importance of this weekend’s KFOS allocation.. But I am going to do it anyway..
This is not only the primary way for your stores to acquire the needed product, it’s getting close to being the only way..
90% of availability is being channeled through KFOS allocations.. Don’t gamble on the other 10% of availability on the weekly allocation. We are all fighting for inventory – my job is to make sure that our District gets our unfair share!!

West Point is back running 3 shifts right now.

Slots open for dealers to fill orders 3rd weekend of every month. At least your dealer has your order bro. Sucks but its kinda like save your spot in line. What model did your order?

I guess some dealers are doing something right. I sell every incoming Telluride thats not a pre sold customer order with in days I get allocated.
